I first began my career in real estate like most people do - I purchased my first home to live in.  Since then I haven't looked back.  Shortly after buying my principal residence (which also supported a home-based business at the time) I decided to start looking into investment properties.  I purchased my first rental property less than a year later and with it came its share of headaches.  But looking back now, I gained some invaluable experience and it taught me how to make better choices in terms of long term investments.  I also decided to focus more on houses with basement suite potential, which have worked out well thus far.  I now have multiple rental properties and am always looking at accumulating more.

About 10 years ago, I also decided I would try "flipping" properties.  My goal was to buy properties that were undervalued, do some cosmetic work to them, and sell them for a small profit.  Again, the first few projects were hard and worrisome, but with a lot of work and more and more experience, each one became a little bit easier.  I have been fortunate over the last few years, as I have completed over 30 successful projects over that time.  I am also continuing to do this, and always have one or two projects on the go.

After gaining experience in the local market, I decided it was time to start looking internationally.  I began scouring the western hemisphere looking for a good opportunity to invest in real estate.  After a few years of dedicated research, we decided that Nicaragua was where we wanted to invest.  We then took the time to narrow down a location, find the proper resources and contacts and eventually we purchased some oceanfront land.  We are currently building a 5 bedroom resort/hotel which should be completed by the end of this year. 

All of this adventure and experience ultimately led me to obtain my real estate license.   Now I am surrounded everyday by my passion and love to help other people meet their own real estate goals, as I have mine.  I look forward to helping you start / further your real estate portfolio.
